What is Aquashella 2025? The Premier Aquarium & Aquatics Show
Aquashella has become one of the most anticipated events in the aquarium and aquatics industry. Founded by George Mavrakis, known for his work as CoralFish12g, the show was created to bring together aquarium hobbyists, aquascapers, pond enthusiasts, and aquatic industry leaders under one roof. Its mission is simple but powerful: to celebrate the beauty of marine life while connecting communities across freshwater, saltwater, and pond keeping.
What makes Aquashella stand out is its unique blend of art, education, and commerce. Visitors immerse themselves in beautiful aquascapes, connect with industry experts, and browse a large show floor filled with aquariums, fish, corals, koi, plants, and a variety of products. With over 100 vendors participating in 2025, the event solidifies its reputation as a hub of inspiration for everyone from beginners to seasoned professionals.
This year also marked Aquashella’s largest turnout ever. “Aquashella Jersey exceeded all of our expectations with over 7,000 attendees — our largest turnout ever. The energy and support from the community were incredible, and there’s no doubt we’ll be coming back to Jersey,” said founder George Mavrakis.

Fitz’s Fish Ponds (FFP) and FFP Aquariums & Aquascaping made a notable impact at this year’s Aquashella with an impressive booth showcasing our broad aquatic expertise. Visitors could buy beautiful Japanese koi, browse aquarium setups, and explore a wide variety of aquascaping plants and products.
Our booth was designed to showcase both aspects of our business—large-scale ponds and koi, along with the growing passion for aquariums and aquascaping. The response was fantastic, with steady crowds stopping by to view the displays, ask questions, and connect with our team.
Fitz’s Fish Ponds in the Aquashella Aquascaping Contest
Adding to the excitement, FFP Aquariums & Aquascaping team members Jenn Bujalski and Howard Lowenthal teamed up to enter the prestigious Aquashella Aquascaping Contest. Facing tough competition from some of the top aquascapers in the country, the duo represented Fitz’s Fish Ponds with creativity and style, earning a respectable 5th-place finish.
Their work not only showcased their talent but also highlighted the growing influence of the aquascaping community within the larger aquatic industry. For Fitz’s Fish Ponds, it was a proud moment to see our team step into the spotlight and stand strong against some of the best.
